We are a multi-media company who create theatre, film, TV and books.
At the heart of our work is collaboration; bringing together artists, performers, craftspeople and audiences to explore ideas from multiple perspectives.
Our workshop-led approach enables us to investigate themes in depth, giving space for discovery, allowing ideas to evolve organically through a process of testing and reflection.
…And our name? In mythology the turtle is a respected guardian—a creature that brings balance:- ‘mauri’ or essence to our world and we feel its a good symbol for the work we want to do.

We are theatre-makers; dreamers, disrupters, and builders of worlds. Rooted in the belief that theatre is a living, breathing ritual, we seek to create epic new works forged in the fires of our collective imaginations.
Film & TV
We want to make compelling narratives in both fiction and factual entertainment. Our mission is to discover the extraordinary in everyday life and bring imaginative worlds to life, delivering content that engages, educates, and entertains global audiences.
We run a small independent press that aims to publish an eclectic list of new, old and re-found work by a diverse range of authors.
